We invested our time, our money and our best efforts in our 'children', be they literally or figuratively, and now it's time to let them go. Whether we are talking about actual children or whether we are referring to our projects, our creations or our artwork doesn't change the outcome; we did what we could and now it is time for us to lovingly let them go. We just have to be confident that we gave them all they needed to be able to stand on their own two feet.
