The daily cast is a three coin cast. Every day (well, almost every day) I randomly pick one oracle coin from the pouch. Than I take the two structural coins (Axis Mundi, the green one and the Sirius coin, the red one) and cast the coins. My interpretation of the result is presented here.
In a moonlit night the somewhat elusive quality of the light can play tricks on our eyes. Exactly like that we can encounter people who use mental nebulousness to play tricks on our mind. The coins are warning us for hustlers and tricksters today. So it's our job to stay alert and give nobody the change to take the better of us. We are nobody's fool!

This morning we throw the exact same cast as we had the day before yesterday. What is it we are hiding from? Why do we feel incapable of leaving our cave and to confront our demons? We might think that we are just retreating because we need more rest, and that we haven't slept enough in the last couple of days so we need to catch up, but beware; sometimes we need to escape our safety zone in order to get anything done!

It is so tempting to start a new project to pour all our enthusiasm and energy into...but is this the right time? If we are honest with ourselves, did we properly finish the last project we started? Do we really have the time to throw ourselves into in new endeavor? When we start something we need to see it through as well, otherwise we leave a trail of orphaned projects behind where ever we go and that benefits nobody. So let's take responsibility for the things we have committed ourselves to before taking on any new projects.

Sometimes we need to hide. The world seems to be too difficult, too overwhelming and we don't want to handle the stuff that is thrown our way. That sentiment is understandable but in the long run it is not very productive. So after we have taken a little time to catch our breath, we need to pull ourselves together, straighten our back and just deal with it. After all, it has to be done sooner or later!

We are our own worst critics, we don't dare to take up painting, or to sing or to dance and constantly worrying if the result is aesthetically pleasing to others. Usually it is considered a good thing to plan ahead. We are taught to make plans for the future, to save up some money for a rainy day, to invest in a strong house and a good pension, all in order to make our future life comfortable. We need to form an opinion about something but we feel irritated about it. We do not seem to have enough time and are tempted to just decide something and be done with it. However understandable this is, we do run the risk of losing the nuances of the issue at hand, trading time-efficiency against causing damage in the long run. Gathering food in order to eat well and make it through the winter is a good thing. So is gathering objects to make our life easier and to give us a sense of security and wealth. But a lot of us are overdoing it. Sometimes gathering becomes hoarding and we feel that in stead of owning our stuff we are being owned by it. With the change of the seasons it is a good idea to declutter our houses and our lives. Literally; start throwing away what you do not need! Recycle things, donate things to charity, sell your excess stuff and create room to breathe. Enough is enough!

The Father Coin deals with issues around boundaries. It does so not only in a practical sense but also in a more theoretical sense of the word. In today's cast we encounter challenges in that area; the balance between safety and restriction is lost and we need to restore it. In order to make this cast more accessible I used 'freedom of speech' as the title; this is a topic that commands a lot of attention lately and it is exactly the kind of dilemma concerning the relationship between boundaries and freedom that we encounter from a day to day basis. We all need boundaries to keep ourselves safe and sane. Today however those boundaries may be faltering. Some-one is not willing to respect the restrictions that are in place. Let's do some soul-searching to be absolutely sure that it is not us who are violating somebody else's private space. It doesn't have to be something major, it can be as mundane as a simple hangover; it doesn't kill us but oh dear can we feel awful by it! Since I attended a party myself last night I do admit that I am a bit pre-occupied with hangovers this morning, and the Oracle seems to resonate with that... Preparing ourselves for the future by making plans and setting aside some money to fulfill them is in itself a virtuous thing. To a certain extent it ensures our safety and stability. We all have to divide our attention between our private time in our personal space at one hand, and our work time in a professional space at the other. By the looks of it we are doing a pretty good job! And if by any chance we feel that we have lost the balance between the personal and the professional, than today is a perfect day to start mending that. The time we spend resting or playing is never a waste: it is of great value to our health an well-being and thus it benefits all aspects of our life.
