If only we could be playful and creative like a child every now and again, enjoying ourselves without holding back! It is important to create moments in our lives in which we can express ourselves, unencumbered, without boundaries, as free as a the Gods intended us to be. Let's find s moment of creative joy today and let making moments like that into a hobby! 

We need the Sun to warm us and make our crops grow. Which hemisphere we live in doesn't matter: either the Sun is a radiant presence in our lives in height of summer or the Sun is greeting us briefly in a season of coldness, either way we welcome it's life-giving warmth. Let us use today to celebrate the simple pleasures in life; the sun on our face, the song of a bird, a glass of clean water. Don't over-complicate life, just try to enjoy it today!

The Father coins is amongst other things connected to the upkeep of our boundaries. Today we look at the balance between work and play. How can we structure our lives in such a way that the time we invest in our job is at least equaled by the time we invest in our free time? Do we even embrace the idea yet, that our time is a precious commodity and that we owe at least as much of it to ourselves and our family as we do to our jobs? The best action to take whenever we get overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of stuff we have to deal with, is to withdraw ourselves from the center of it and to try and get past all the details we are involved in. What is the essence of the matter and how do we want to approach that? This advice is to be taken literally today; let's disentangle ourselves from all the chaos and take some time to find the thing it is we really want to address.

All kinds of claims are being thrown at us by the leaders of our society but we feel unable to follow them since we cannot ascertain the validity of those claims. Times are complicated, the problems the world is facing are many and we are confused about where to find solutions. Therefore we need to be extra careful in deciding were our allegiance lies. This cast warns us that the powers that be might not have our  best interest in mind, so let's be vigilant.

Gathering food in order to eat well and make it through the winter is a good thing. So is gathering objects to make our life easier and to give us a sense of security and wealth. But a lot of us are overdoing it. Sometimes gathering becomes hoarding and we feel that instead of owning our stuff we are being owned by it. And beyond that: all that we have sitting on our shelves, is nog beneficial to anyone else. We see this happening on a global scale, it is up to us to be better than that. Let's donate what we don't need so that we spread wealth instead of centralizing it. Enough is enough!

I tend to read this particular combination of coins in it's most literal meaning today. Our mum or the mothers amongst my readers are in need of some extra attention. Motherhood can be a complicated task and today we need some extra care. Let us contact our actual mother (not necessarily our bio mom but a person that fulfills that role for us) to make sure that they are alright. 

The Elder coin represents both healing and the Goddess, as the art of healing is one of the most important aspects of the Goddess. With the challenger on the table, we read that the Goddess aspect is under attack in our society. We see this happening through the infringement of women’s rights and a growing misogyny in the world. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is only happening online, or that the suffering is only happening in lands far, far away! The coins tell us of a real and tangible danger that we must deal with. All of us!

We know all we need to know in order to make a well-informed and clearcut decision. Today is the day we make up our minds. We can do so in full confidence: we've got this!

In every situation there are two distinct positions we can take: either we look at it up close, maybe even from the inside, or we take a step back and observe the issue from a distance. The cast of today suggests to do just that: to detach ourselves from the situation we are in to gain a better perspective. So let us find some high ground and find new input from up there. It is not productive and doesn't make our lives better. Breath in, breath out and make the best of today!
